On April 30th, HB 89 (now SB 154) passed the Florida House of Representatives unanimously. Because this bill saves lives, its passage should bring us all tremendous satisfaction and relief. Clarifying and strengthening our crosswalk law was a logical step toward protecting Florida’s pedestrians – whether the family on an evening walk, the senior crossing the road carrying groceries, the child riding a bike, or the blind person being led by a working dog. Help is now on the way.
